Koto
Yoko is a master of the classical music of Japan and performs with koto, shamisen, and voice. Her training in Koto was in the Kyoto, Kyusyu, and Miyagi traditions. She has taught Japanese music at the University of Colorado and the Naropa Institute. Her musical performance encompasses traditional, modern and avant-garde compositions. She performs extensively in both Japan and U.S.A. at music festivals, concerts, lecture-recitals, and in television, radio, and studio recordings.
